Press Corps
Committee Description
The Press Corps Committee serves as the voice of DALE Nicaragua, capturing the debates’ decisions and stories that shape the conference as they unfold. Here delegates step into the roles of journalists, reporting on crises, political decisions, negotiations, and conflicts while navigating the pressure between speed, accuracy and influence. Delegates will have to look beyond official statements, question opposing perspectives, and recognize that the way a story is told can affect public opinion and international action, all while creatively finding a way in which their reports fit their assigned agency. Being part of the Press Corps committee not only informs audiences, provides you with a mobile perspective of debate, and plays a key part in sustaining conference professionalism, but it will hold other delegates accountable and capture the complexity of diplomacy in an increasingly interconnected world. Join the Press Corps Committee!
